We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Submitting a notice

A valid notice must include all of the following:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a direct URL is best
Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the owner's behalf

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the agent above. It must identify the removed material and its prior location, and include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.

Fraudulent notices

Submitting a knowingly false notice carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). We log the sender, timestamp, and full contents of every notice received.
